Cookie Policy
This policy explains how mortonsneuroma.co.uk, run by The Barn Clinic, uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. Some are needed for the site to work. Others tell us how the site is used or help show you relevant adverts.
How we ask for your consent
When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline cookies that are not essential. Analytics and marketing scripts stay switched off until you say yes. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie preferences option on this page or by clearing cookies in your browser.

In plain English, the groups work like this:
Essential and functional (always on)
- Cookie consent: remembers your cookie choices.
- Language: remembers the language you pick on our multilingual pages.
- Spam protection: our contact and callback forms use CleanTalk anti-spam, which sets cookies beginning ct_ and apbct_ to tell people from bots. These do not track you across other sites.
Analytics (only with your consent)
- Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager: shows us how many people visit and which pages they read.
- Hotjar: shows us how visitors move around pages so we can improve them.
Marketing (only with your consent)
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel: lets us measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
- Google tags: where switched on, these measure the results of Google adverts.
- YouTube: where we use YouTube videos, they stay blocked until you accept marketing cookies.
Embedded patient videos
Our patient information videos are hosted by Vimeo. We tell Vimeo not to track viewers (its “do not track” setting), so these videos load without Vimeo setting tracking cookies or collecting viewing statistics. Vimeo still receives your IP address and basic device details when a video loads, because it has to send the video to you. We treat these videos as functional for that reason.
Other services that load from other companies
- Google Fonts: our pages load fonts from Google, which means your IP address is sent to Google when a page loads.
Where your data may be processed
Google, Meta, Hotjar and Vimeo may process data outside the UK. Each has its own privacy policy that explains how.
Controlling cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site, such as forms, from working.
